Zahid Dada, President, Pakistan-Belgium Business Forum (PBBF) is leading a 15-member trade delegation to Belgium from November 29-30, 2005, Sameer H Dodhy, vice president of the Forum said on Monday.

Patrick X Renault, Belgian Ambassador to Pakistan is accompanying the delegation.

The delegation will meet with Economic Section of Pakistan Embassy, Brussels Chamber of Commerce, Antwerp and Ghent Chamber of Commerce, Pakistan-Euro Chamber of Commerce, Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) and Walloon Export Agency, especially will have business to business meetings with their members/interested companies in Belgium.

The purpose of this visit is to enhance the existing trade relations between Belgium and Pakistan by exploring more avenues of co-operation and making new contacts for business people on both sides.

PBBF delegates represent diversified fields of business such as steel, knitwear, garments, medical equipment, and construction and sports goods.

The special feature of this year's delegation is the Investors in People (IiP) in Pakistan conference and its certification award ceremony. This certification will be awarded to 10-member delegates/companies of PBBF.

These companies have been selected under the EU's Asia Invest programme aimed at introducing Pakistan to the UK's IiP standard for best practice in human resource development.

The UK consultant, Exemplas Ltd, has been PBBF's partner in this project, which has been funded under the EU's Asia-Invest programme. PBBF is the first Business Forum to obtain such funding from the EU.
